This children's book deals with the Greek legend of Sisyphus, the king of Corinth. He escaped death several times and was then taken by the chief god Zeus to Tantarus as punishment, where he had to roll a huge stone up the mountain for all eternity. Once he reached the top, it rolled back down. This is where the term Sisyphus work comes from.
